I had to split the map into different sections for ease of scrolling. Special thanks to Eljay, Ruthgul and Daffy for reviewing the maps. Let me (Dyna) know in the game if you spot errors on the maps. Some special after-boss or quest rooms may be missing. Also remember that these are maps, not boss or quest walkthroughs. I will not include instructions on how to kill mobs or mark the rooms used for quests.
Recall to get the quest Training in the Forest (3098).
Phase 1 - Mark of Truth: From entrance go all w, 4n, 13w, 4n, 6w to Granite Bridge where Samara is. Formerly, this used to be the samurai duck. Try to go west and Samara will ask a riddle about one of the 5 powers. Use your knowledge about them or help powers to identify the correct answer (apparently different for every player) and sayto Samara the correct answer. You will get the Mark of Truth.
Phase 2 - Mark of Darkness: Go 2 northeast, north from recall, you'll see a mound of earth. Enter it to go to the anthill tunnels. Then go 3w, 2sw, se, 3e. From here you can take the ne, sw, or e path. Two of them will lead to dead ends and it changes from time to time. At the end of the right path, you will be at a Dark Alcove and from there go e, d, then follow one of the paths (down, northwest or south) until it leads you to a down with sentry ants, then all e, n, 2e, to the huge guard ant and attempt to go north. He will ask who guards the bridge. Say "samara" and you'll be transferred north and get Mark of Darkness.
Phase 3 - Mark of Charisma: If you walk around the forest path, you may have come across a sycophantic goblin who will instantly form with you and you will get Mark of Charisma.
Phase 4 - Mark of Association: Suggested to do this in conjunction with phase 6. See below. You need to pick up 4 star fragments. Fragment locations:
When you pick up the last one, they will combine into an item called 'four star fragments'. Go to Jeria and sayto her yes to complete this miniquest and get the Mark of Association and complete phase 4 of quest 3098. Jeria will give you "one of Risfyth's stars" which is an everlasting light. This will be useful in dark areas.
Phase 5 - Sombar and Unholy tome or the Order Of The Malachite Golem Miniquest: Go 5n from recall and buy a shot of dragon's blood. Go s, all e, n and give the shot to Sombar. He'll tell you to talk to the head park keeper. Go 2s and sayto head sombar sent me. Then go to the bird city (from entrance to rune forest, go all west, 9n, 13w, u, n, d, n, e) and visit Jeria. She'll tell you where to find the unholy tome. Go to that location and when you see "Something hidden in the dirt catches your eye..." search and pick up the tome. This line may not trigger all the time. Go back to Sombar and give it to him to get a tome of experience and 5k gold. This can be done every 24 RL hours.
Phase 6 - Quest Revenge (4024):
Then go to the head park keeper and quest complete 3098. You can continue doing faction quests to get equipment that will help you against some bosses.
The faction quests and marks are mutually exclusive. The rewards for the marks and quests (equipment) are effectively the same, so it does not matter which faction you choose to join. The only difference is in the role-playing aspect of each faction's motive. Order of the Rabid Wolf's aim is to save the forest from destruction while Order of the Malachite Golem seeks to destroy and contaminate the forest's natural resources for their own benefit.
Mark of Ferocity and Rabid Wolf quests
Diverging Paths - The Order of the Rabid Wolf (4000) Go to the rabid wolf guard and say I wish to join the order of the rabid wolf. Wait a tick or two and the first phase will be complete. Go to the opposite side and kill 5 members of the malachite golem. Return to the rabid wolf guard then go west, down, 2 east, 2 south, northwest. Then quest complete 4000 to get the Mark of Ferocity and two more quests: Metaquest Rabid Wolf (4021) and Exploring the Forest (4002). Elauyin (the questmaster) will also give you a promising sapling and an unrelenting dynamite that will be needed for quest 4002.
From here on, complete each of the quests in order, returning to Elauyin and saying I'm ready to move on to get the next quest and the required items. For some quests, Elauyin will give you items that you will need to USE during that quest. Don't lose them (though they may be nodrop and nouncurse anyway). During the last quest, Into the Clockwork Oak, Doc will give you instructions such as pull lever, go to the western side and pull lever, give you a grappler and the game will tell you to USE grappler – follow them promptly. You will be fighting the houngon's disciple. When you kill it, you will get the Mark of Resolution and get teleported back to recall. Don't forget to go back to Elauyin and turn in all of the quests.
After completing these quests, you will have a legendary reputation with the faction of Rabid Wolf and feared with Malachite Golem.
Mark of Fury and Malachite Golem quests
Diverging Paths - The Order of the Malachite Golem (3099) Go to the malachite golem guard and say I wish to join the Order of the Malachite Golem. You will complete the first phase in the same room. After that go to the opposite side of the area and kill 5 members of the rabid wolf. Return to the malachite golem guard then go n, d, w, 2n, e, s and quest complete 3099 to get the Mark of Fury and two more quests: Metaquest Malachite Golem (4022) and Exploring the Forest (4001). Caslar (the questmaster) will also give you a vicious saw and an unrelenting dynamite that will be needed for quest 4001.
From here on, complete each of the quests in order, return to Caslar then say I'm ready to move on to get the next quest and the required items. For some quests, Caslar will give you items that you will need to USE during that quest. During the last quest, Into the Clockwork Oak, Doc will give you instructions such as pull lever, go to the western side and pull lever, give you a grappler and the game will tell you to USE grappler – follow them promptly. You will be fighting the houngon's disciple. When you kill it, you will get the Mark of Resolution and get teleported back to recall. Don't forget to go back to Caslar and turn in all of the quests.
