Background

The sorrowful Shadow Castle has been overtaken by things no longer living. Its unwelcoming ramparts hold secrets of the dead. Upon a steep mountain butte at the southern tip of the Mandrake Woods sits the sinister Shadow Castle. This dark edifice overlooks the wood and all around it. The castle's dark presence flows down into the wood and merges easily with its evil. Sick, ancient creatures subsist within its crumbling walls. The castle itself has many secrets hidden from view that only the most cunning and brave adventurers discover.
