Background
The seaport city of Pirate's Cove lies on the northern coast of Beltane and, as the name suggests, is home to many swashbuckling rogues and thugs. It has always been a popular place for ships to put in for shore leave, as there are many establishments where the sailors can rest and recover from their time at sea with willing women. The smart adventurer is very cautious when journeying through this area, as it can be dangerous for the inexperienced. Pirate's Cove is surrounded by unexplored jungle and active volcanic rifts.
Adjacent to Pirate's Cove is the fabled Treasure Bay. Pirate ships dock here so that their crews can enjoy a bit of fun in Pirate's Cove while the ships are being restocked or repaired before heading out to seek further conquests. Deep in the waters of Treasure Bay a wide array of dangerous creatures live including one legendary creature that is said to threaten the town itself when stirred from its lair.
Baron Rothchild lives in a well-built castle in the hills on the southern side of Pirate's Cove. From its perch above the town, the castle offers views of all that occurs in the town allowing Baron Rothchild to keep up with events even when he chooses not to go among the riff raff in the streets of his town.
