Mourdul, Throne Of Pain

Use a disgusting, bloody looking wedding invitation obtained from giving a gold-plated die to a wedding cleric. If you appear "The Grounds Outside The Chapel" then you are able to fight Mourdul, Throne of Pain as well as the Manari Crusader. Otherwise if you appear "The Wedding Chapel" you are able to fight The teary-eyed, bedraggled bride.

Encounter

On attack, Mourdul will formed with all 8 succubi adherents. Unlike the teary-eyed bedraggled bride encounter, every mob here is aggro so the best strategy is to enter, do a quick cast or action, and flee out. Repeat till all adherents are dead.

NOTE: The succubi adherent has an emote "Suddenly, a succubi adherent of Lust's eyes begin to glow a ghastly red, and she slashes at your tail with her bladed talons!" This will target any random body part and reduce AR by 23-24 so be aware of suddenly taking more damage!

When Mourdul is finally alone, you can engage him. Expect a long fight as Mourdul has alot of hp. Mourdul will only emote and not cast which includes:

• Mourdul, Throne of Pain shouts 'Cower, [player name], or be DESTROYED!' That player must type 'cower mourdul'. Successful emote will have Mourdul respond 'That's right, [player name].' Mourdul, Throne of Pain says. 'You live and exist at the whim of Mourdul.'
• leech
• bashes
• high damage emote "Shards of glass shoot forth from Mourdul, striking you!"
• entropion with 'You see so much, yet you are incapable of noticing your own demise unfolding, [player name].' Mourdul, Throne of Pain says. 'Allow me to focus your vision.'
• firebolt with 'Enjoying the view, [player name]?' Mourdul, Throne of Pain asks. 'I know you can't see it, but allow me to demonstrate the potency of our hellfire.'

• On kill, forces a white block of a magic cube to drop from The teary-eyed, bedraggled bride "As Mourdul, Throne of Pain disintegrates, a cube bounces from his 'blades' and rolls down a drainpipe into the church... And you hear a loud THUNK and a woman cursing."

Mourdul, the High Lord of Suffering, has no solid form.  It is not a
collection of sunmotes, or a pillar of flame.  Nor is it a living column of
stone, or a mass of humanoid mud.  Mourdul is pain incarnate; a roaring
cloud of sentient destruction.  Blades, spines, jagged glass and a managerie
of other torturous instruments, mixed with still hot blood and dying
screams.  Coals that roasted the tongues of liars surmount an iron maiden's
face, to glare down at those foolish enough to stand and challenge.  A
bonesaw mouth snaps shut with the squeal of rusty metal.  Talons formed of
scimitar and axe blades slash menacingly through the air with a keening
scream.  Pain and death await.
