Accessing
View the MagicMap at: http://ooc.dune.net/alliance/mm/
To get a password, send "tell kroo password" in-game. This is now open to ALL MM players!
Key Features
- a map of (almost) all zones and areas on the game
- auto-updating -- if you install the plugin, as you move around on the map you'll see a marker representing you!

- crowdsourced -- as you move around, you send room data to our server to help keep our maps updated

Mush Client Users
If you are using the MUSHclient package available on the Materia Magica website, you should already have everything necessary to appear on the map. All you should need to do is:
- In MUSHclient go to File -> Global Preferences
- Click Add and select sandbox.dune.net.MCL
- Type 'protocol gmcp sendchar' in your MM window, followed by 'look'.
- If that doesn't work -- restart MUSHclient and re-log in.
From now on, you will see an additional world window open for sandbox.dune.net. You just need to leave it open and ignore it.
You should see yourself on the map now! Click your name to 'follow' yourself from zone to zone.
Troubleshooting
If you get disconnected and don't appear on the map, try confirming your GMCP is on, and using "protocol gmcp sendchar" in-game to re-initialize the sandbox connection.
Privacy
You can set your privacy settings so your location is only seen by yourself, your clan, your alliance, or anyone.
As an admin, Ardant does have access to your location in the database, but no one else does. (And you trust Ardant, yes?)
