Levels: 110-250
Research notes are timered spells on theses which you can access beginning at level 110. Research notes allow you to learn spells you might otherwise not have access to or can help you supplement your spellbook with spells you wouldn't otherwise be able to fit into it. The first time you get research notes will also net you the Mark of Abstraction. Although to receive research notes the first time, you will need to go to Sigil, research notes can be purchased and bound anywhere after you have the mark.

Each week, you get 1,000 research credits to spend to purchase new spells. As of April 2024, the prices increase based on how popular of a choice the spell is amongst players, so while the original design allowed you to have 5 or 6 spells in your research notes, depending on your selections you may be more limited.
