This quest [3407] is called 'The Secret Weapons Facility', for Adventurers levels 241 to 250. Ringless Panther is the authority in charge of this quest. I can sense through the roots of these young trees that there is a great deal of activity going on in secret beneath the city. The Gnomes, in their desire for complete security against the many threats this area poses, seem to be under the misguided impression that creating weapons with immense destructive power will keep their city safe. My people observed many societies over the ages, and all of those who have come to this conclusion have gone down a very self destructive path. I would like to you stop them. Most of the city is unaware of what is going on down there and would probably be horrified by it. We must first figure out a way to get inside. I have found a secret entrance, but it is locked to all but the Gnomes. I know how to recreate a functioning key for that door, but it will take some work. First, we need some metal from a source technologically comparable to that of Cogworks City. There is an old sentry in a mosaiced home that belonged to an old civilization that was conquered by the Chemwalkers. I believe that will suffice. Next, take that metal to Vir, where Derzagaz, the metalsmith will be able to forge that metal into a receptacle of the proper shape. He owes me a favor and should do that task without complaint. The door is able to sense who is trying to open it, and will reject anyone who is not a resident of Cogworks City. The last step will be then to trick the door. There is an ancient, powerful creature in the vicinity of the city that is tied to the Gnomish race. I believe that if you are able to slay it, the energy it releases will cover you and your receptacle and fool the sensors into thinking you belong here. Be careful in there, it is a very dangerous place.
