Preparation
Standard spell-ups and be prepared to go into a solo fight. Obtain a heart-shaped talisman and bury it in the wilds to create a portal.
Encounter
The room is in LPK and high-regen and disorient. Chances are, if you flee out or die you may not be able to re-enter, but I did not confirm this by trying. Lothaire seems to be a witch, casting debuffs such as fatigue, blindness, poison, hex, malediction, and offensive spells like leech. Lothaire also can throw bombs at you and bolt for about 2k damage, so be mindful to calm and heal up inside of the boss room if necessary. Lothaire deals bash damage and is immune to lightning. After you kill the boss, you go south into dizzies. Wander around and you'll eventually find yourself exiting the area by Cymeneth's bust in Focault's Residence.

These pants aren't, at least aesthetically, suited for adventurers. They're
a shade of octarine typically seen on jewelry, and even have a glimmering
shine. Even odder is the is the emblem of the Hungry Implementors sewn near
the thigh. The Implementors are a fearsome cult of creatures, and their
emblem here is as incongruous as a demonic pentagram on a priest's diadem.
The patch has also had some degrading effect on the pantaloons, with a black
liquid of some sort making its way through the fabric.

leather has been painstakingly tanned, and no flaws are visible on the
book's surface. The ink on the pages is a silver color, and on closer
inspection you realize that it is actual silver! The wizard of Focault must
have spent a fortune creating it, and as a result it surely has great
magical powers.
