Levels: a group of at least 4-5 solid archons
Boss Kill: counts as a boss kill for level 241 and under.
Availability: the doors will close and lock again after a while, so be wary of that; 15 minute standard zone repop.

Introduction

A Berserk Manticore requires a form of 5 or more people and killing 3 mobs around Sigil before hand for orbs to enable you to reach A Berserk Manticore. The mobs are:

Preparation

Usual preparation, check mem's, reagents, couple of calm mixes if you have someone who can use them are always helpful too. Once you are ready first thing to do is collect the orbs:

Baron Pileus

Send one person who has a toy to kill Baron Pileus, its a solo room and will unform them and the toy, very easy fight though. He is located in Ilandrama Library, enter the 3rd mirror south, east, southeast, east.

A hulking frogocerous

Send two people to kill this mob, the room is no regen and it does minor emote spells and damage, again pretty easy fight. He is located 5 north from Sigil south gate, 2 west, down, 2 southwest, all west, up, follow path until dark west entrance, mob is inside.

A muscular hill-dwarf lookout

Send the rest of your goup to kill this, and have the other two groups join as they finish, this is the hardest of the orb bosses to kill. Located from Sigil south gate, east, up, 2 east. The dwarf will throw spears that do pretty massive damage, tanks will need to flee and heal constantly, you can dispel and slow the dwarf to make it a little easier.

Note: Have someone who isn't going to die hold onto existing orbs or hide them some where, they are vanish death.

A Berserk Manticore encounter

Once you have one of each orb, from Sigil north gate head all south, all west, all north, west, south. Down will be NPK, in the down room hold the A dirty orb of excavation and use it, this will drop you down into another room. Next hold and use An even dirtier orb of excavation, followed finally by The dirtiest orb of excavation in the next room. The last orb will drop you into the same room as a Berserk Manticore, have someone calm and have your designated tank attack. The tank will be bolted occasionally so keep they topped up health wise using only cure light, they may also be unformed so be prepared to calm and allow them to form.

The Manticore will script heal if poisoned or plagued, so ensure these two debuffs are not cast. This includes WEAPONS which have either of these item attributes. Additionally, the form should ONLY cast CURE LIGHT - do not HEAL. A druid tank is best for this run as the druid can cast earth invocation to heal him/herself.

Lastly, your form should contain no more than 4 people - once you go beyond 4 form members, the boss becomes increasingly more difficult.

It's difficult to tell what this is, exactly.  It looks like a piece of
an unusually well-defined piece of scrap metal, but for the big engraving,
'KEY', on the long, flat part.  It doesn't look like any regular key, or
even any kind of uncommon key, for that matter.  Perhaps it will all come
together, later.

Blasted with brontosaurus charcoal in blackfire hellforges for aeons, the
first implement of Lucial Damnasnard has been finished, insomuch as a weapon
of its type can be.  Four feet long with a blade that can slice through
atoms, the blade resonates like a metronome with Planck frequency.  Unlike
other swords, it will never dull- not a consequence of its craftsmanship,
but the fact that the harmonics alone will atomize anything approaching the
blade, much less actually touching it.  

Note: Looting a giant human's skull will award you Mark of Order. Also note, the corpse explodes, so ensure you have loots on or are spamming get all corpse. Also note that alliance notes in the corpse will prevent autoloot or get all from working.
