choppy waters here will quickly drown anything without gills. Tiger sharks
and leopard sharks swim in hungry, anticipatory circles deeper below, and
even larger shapes appear in the distance.

Unlike most of the rickety aquatic structures that populate Alyria, the
piers of Pirate's Cove utilize the most modern gnomish technology, a civic
benefit that Baron Rothchild paid handsomely for. Large, solid shells rest
upon a large number of marine floats, which both distribute the loads they
bear and render the walkways nearly invulnerable to passing storms and
hurricanes. In any case, it is not just an impressive modern marvel, but
the only way to escape these choppy waters.
