This is a TUTORIAL. It provides no rewards, but teaches you about Alyria.
The dark place goes by many names, according to many peoples. Many of those
names have fallen into disuse, as its face and temperament changes. The
names used to refer to the peaty smell- to the source of the majestic
lavafalls- the mother of the acid seas.

As generations have passed under the growing cancer of the growing
aberration in the sky, the weirding hole through which terrifying cosmic
phenomena are observable, the names have changed.
Now its recognized names include the Eccentricity- the Distortion- the
Anomaly. The colonizers refer to as the Sigil Underground. Nobody knows
how the huaka refer to it, or particularly wants to find out.
Somehow, in the midst of this, the gnomes found something that came through
that great, terrifying rip in the sky, and then figured out how to copy it
or reproduce it or somesuch fool thing, and are using it to drive tourism.
Fuck it, go on through, give them some gold to go gawk at the big weird
thing in the sky.
