Location: Pirate's Cove
Levels: 3rd class, Archon
Boss Kill: Yes.
Availability: normal repop time and also can be instant as repop is tied to Mark of Piracy tutorial, simply quest undertake and quest abandon immediately to trigger a repop. If you are in Bonebeard's office you will need to leave all solitary areas (e.g get back out onto Danploit Road) to have him spawn this way.
Marks: Part of Mark of Piracy

Preparation

Standard reagent and mem check. This is a solo boss and not too difficult, no pk areas involved.

Introduction

Follow the tutorial quest (quest undertake 3204) and its pretty self explanatory. Taking you from the recall in Pirate's Cove, you journey east and south into a new area of Pirate's Cove into either a entrance for third classers or archons that are beside each other. The area that contains the boss is solitary.

Encounter

Note that information below is for third class, archon encounter may differ.

Normal debuffs work except for blind, not that debuffs are particularly needed. Bonebeard deals necromantic damage and does not cast, kick or bash. When you first fight Bonebeard, he will emote a baby-blue shield that ticks down 2% starting from 100% every combat round regardless if you're targeting Bonebeard or not. A mob will also eventually enter and form up with Bonebeard. However this mob can be intercepted before it enters the room with Bonebeard so you can kill it before it actually forms up. Attack Bonebeard and wait till the baby-blue shield is at 80%. Flee in the direction you came from and wait. A mob will walk into the room so quickly attack it. After its dead, move back into the room with Bonebeard. From then on its just a matter of sustaining yourself while waiting till the shield depletes and you'll eventually kill him.

Note that if the mob ends up forming up with Bonebeard and you flee out of the room, more mobs can stream in adding to his form size

of the circular surface is decorated with lightning bolts and alternating
storm cloud. The odd script of the storm giants' archaic alphabet is
written in a spiral from the center outward, but nobody actually knows it
anymore.
